Alaska is a Land of Giants. Whether its fish or game, Alaska makes a significant contribution to the record books....the IGFA, Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young. The state also maintains its own trophy fish program and a list of state records for the major fish species.

With so many trophies in Alaska, its not that hard to catch or shoot an exceptional take with some diligent pursuit. So the Alaska Outdoor Journal has established its own Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame Rules & Requirements

Fish species must meet the minimum size listed below.
Hunting trophies must make the book - either Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young
Documentation must be provided
1. Angler or Hunter name
2. Species taken
3. Date & Location
4. Fish weight (lbs./oz.) or BC/PY record book score & position
5. Did the fish make IGFA record book?
6. Did the angler receive an Alaska Trophy Certificate from the state?
7. (optional) Guide, outfitter or charter used
8. Weighmaster or witness
9. Written permission (electronic or hardcopy) to use photo in AOJ
AOJ reserves the right to change qualifying requirements at their option.
