SHEESH! Its a Sheefish! Bubba Cook makes a few fishing expeditions to the Interior of Alaska for a variety of species that region offers. One that is a genuine "sleeper" for the sport fisherman is the Sheefish or Inconnu as the Alaska natives call them. They are in the whitefish family but have a remarkable resemblance to the saltwater tarpon. They grow to 50 pounds and are heavy-duty fighters capable of many aerobatic displays during the fight. They are also a delicious tasting fish with flakey white meat that rivals most other freshwater fish. This one was taken on the Yukon River.
