Homesteader's Onion Soup Mix

When you live on a homestead, often many miles from a source of groceries and supplies, you just can't run to the store for a missing ingredient in your next meal. Here is a great onion soup mix you can make up in large quantities to keep onhand for a variety of recipes which call for it.

You can use it in any recipe calling for onion soup mix.

For a quick dip, add 5 Tbsp of mix to 2 cups of sour cream. For seasoning meatloaf (mooseloaf) 5 Tbsp of mix per pound of meat. And of course you can make it up as a hot soup!

Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. 5 Tablespoons equals 1 package of onion soup mix.
