Tip #42 Put A Sock On It!

OK here is one of those "why didn't I think of that" tips that actually works!

Everyone likes to take a hot drink out in the field while hunting, fishing, watching their kid's football game, or standing around on a frozen lake ice fishing. So a thermos is usually one of the items that is brought along to warm your spirits. The only problem is a long day in the field or out on the ice eventually allows the contents of your thermos to cool.

While pondering this dilema the other day as I folded some laundry, I encountered yet another pair of almost perfectly good socks where one had a hole in it. Naturally unless you have another matching pair with a similar hole, you end up with a half pair of good socks. Now, instead of sending both socks to the rag bin for future painting jobs, dedicate the good sock as an insulator for your thermos. Just slip the sock all the way up over the thermos and enjoy a little warmer coffee or chocolate throughout the day.
