Southern Southeast Timing Map

The southern section of Southeast Alaska is rich in native culture and here you will find the totem. It is also an area boasting a colorful Russian history as reflected in many of the community names.

This table indicates when sport fish are present (green line) or at their peak availability (red line) in fresh & salt water in the area of Alaska south of Fredrick Sound. This area includes Petersburg, Wrangell, Prince of Wales Island, and Ketchikan.

The fishing opportunities are just part of what brings visitors back to this area on repeat visits.

For more details on the communities, access, angling opportunities, services and who to contact, you can refer to our Region & Communities information for the Southeast Alaska area. Be sure to use your BACK button after reading the information or you will end up navigating the other section.
