This one is my bible I just about sleep with and I keep one in every vehicle as well as one within reach here at the computer station. Anyone visiting the Kenai Peninsula will want to keep this map within arm's reach. With so much land along the lower Kenai River in private property, this map is your guide to all the locations listed in the ADFG sportfishing regulations booklet where public access to the river is available. Its also the perfect companion for finding your way around the local communities or to the location of your lodging where you will stay. Campgrounds and State Park Waysides are identified and the map contains fisheries identification for every stream and lake which contains one or more species of sportfish, including those lakes with stocked populations of rainbow trout and landlocked coho salmon. For those who will end up renting a boat for fishing the Kenai River, the map provides River Mile mileage and identifies the location of all the popular king salmon fishing holes from Skilak Lake to the river mouth.
All routes of the Swanson River Canoe Trails are identified for easy navigation and portage throughout the various groups of lakes and streams. Map details extend north beyond Nikiski to the Swanson River and south to include the Kasilof River and lower end of Tustumena Lake. This map alone is the key to more fishing on the Kenai Peninsula than any other place in Alaska and visitors will use this resource each time they come to Alaska to fish or just enjoy the Kenai Peninsula.
