Fairbanks to Anchorage

A sample of the content and detail of this map. Without any doubt, if you plan to travel the George Parks Highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks, this is the map to have. A tremendous number of fisheries are present in the streams, rivers, creeks and lakes shown on this map. Literally every freshwater species of fish found in Alaska (except for perhaps cutthroat trout) can be found in the waters along the Parks Highway between Alaska's two largest cities. This is definitely the "Don't Leave Home Without It!" resource if you are traveling north of Anchorage. And you will find that this map is indispensible each time you travel the Parks Highway. Salmon, trout, grayling and char fishing begins on these streams at ice out and continues right up to freeze up. Even if you are not going to fish, its a tremendous aid for locating campgrounds, RV parks, waysides, scenic points of interest and other facilities such as lodging and places to eat. It includes a Denali Park Entrance map, and identifies the major streets in Fairbanks and Anchorage for easy navigation. The road Mile Post descriptions cover roadside facilities as well as identify the most popular fisheries and their streams. |
